Back pain, neck pain, arm pain and shoulder pain are often blamed on the chair. I’ve worked with a lot of people who spend thousands of dollars buying fancy “ergonomic” chairs and still don’t see any change. Sound familiar?
Check out your monitor. How close do you have to be to really see what is on the screen? Are you looking over the top of your glasses? Squinting? You may start your day with good intentions, “sit up straight” is a mantra you chant to yourself in the morning. By the time you start typing you find yourself with your chin jutted forward, nose moving closer to the screen. These are all signs that your monitor is not in the right place.
